CARE
CARING FOR LAGOS DOUBLET JEWELRY
Several collections feature stones that are made by joining two pieces of stone and crystal; fusing them to form a doublet stone. Doublets are a category of composite or handcrafted stones. The base of the doublet is turquoise, white mother-of-pearl, black-mother-of-pearl, or pink-mother-of-pearl, while the upper stone is a faceted crystal. Each doublet design is highlighted as doublet jewelry in the description. Doublets require special care.
To maintain the shine of your doublet jewelry, wipe your piece with a soft cloth to remove any residue or build-up that may occur from normal wear.
Here are helpful suggestions to insure your jewelry is safe from unnecessary wear and tear:
- Use extreme caution when caring for doublet stones.
- Remove any doublet rings before washing your hands.
- Do not directly place a doublet stone into water or any solvent cleaning solutions.
- Avoid steam cleaning.
- Store doublet jewelry in a LAGOS pouch or jewelry case so it does not come into contact with other pieces in your collection.
